Video: Usain Bolt's fall after his 200m victory

Usain Bolt in happier times with the camerapersons

Usain Bolt clinched the 200m final at the World Championships at Beijing by completing the race with the current season’s best timings of 19.5 seconds. With this win, Bolt has claimed the double of 100m and 200m gold for the third time at the World Championships.

But there was more drama in store at the end of the race. While he was on his celebratory walk, cheering along with the massive crowd that had turned up to watch him and many other sportspersons in action, the 29-year-old Jamaican was taken out by a cameraman who was covering every step the athlete was taking.

Unfortunately, the cameraman went too close to Bolt and that resulted in both losing their balance and falling onto the ground, with the champion taking a somersault after that.

Despite the fall, Bolt could see the funny side of the incident and gave a beaming smile despite the fall.

Bolt made light of the incident and joked about it. "They tried to kill me!"

Here’s the video of that incident:

It’s hard not to see the humour in all of this though. Maybe Bolt’s competitors are thinking that this is the best way to stop him from winning?
