Here is a view at the Semi-final clashes of various categories:

Men’s Singles Category:

In the first semi-final match of the category, Thailand and China will be up against each other in a battle between Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk and Long Chen respectively. The contest doesn’t seem to a tougher one and the World No.2 Chen is expected to make his way to the Finals.

In the other semi-final of the category, World No.3 Pengyu Du from China will fight against the Malaysian smasher Chong Wei Lee. It will be a knotty task for the World No.3 Pengyu when he will face the top-seeded Lee in this match.

Women’s Singles Category:

Korea will be facing the Chinese attack when Ji Hyun Sung of Korea will lock horns with Shixian Wang in the first semi-final of the category. After eliminating Indian superstar Saina Nehwal, spirited Ji Hyun Sung will be looking for another victory.

Another Chinese smasher Yihan Wang will be facing the Thai challenge from Ratchanok Intanon who defeated Eriko Hirose from Japan in quarterfinals. The second seeded Intanon defeated Eriko Hirose in a tiring quarterfinal match yesterday while Wang crushed Yeon Ju Bae comfortably to enter the semis.

Men’s Doubles Category:

The Indonesian pair of Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan will be facing the Japanese duo of Hiroyuki Endo and Kenichi Hayakawa in the first semi-final encounter of the category. Both the pairs registered comfortable wins in their quarterfinal clashes on Friday.

In the second semi-final of the category, the Korean pair of Yong Dae Lee will be battling against the Danish pair of Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen. The Danish pair will be seeking home-advantage in this clash. They have registered convincing victories so far in the tournament.

Women’s Doubles Category:

In the first semi-final of the category, the Chinese duo of Yixin Bao and Jinhua Tang will be up against the Japanese pair of Misaki Matsutomo and Ayaka Takahashi. The Japanese pair crushed the Danish pair in their first round and defeated Thai pairs in their last two matches to make their way to the semi-finals.

The pair of Reika Kakiiwa and Miyuki Maeda from Japan will be facing the Danish opportunity in the second semi-final of the category. They will face-off the Danish pair of Christinna Pedersen and Kamilla Rytter Juhl. The hosts had a tough outing on Friday against the Korean pair of Sung Hyun Ko and Ha Na Kim in a 78-minute quarterfinal clash, while the Japanese pair ended Korean opportunity in the Women’s Doubles category by defeating the pair of Ye Na Jang and So Young Kim.

Mixed Doubles Category:

The Danish pair of Joachim Fischer Nielsen and Christinna Pedersen will be facing the Chinese opportunity in the first semi-final of the category. The Danish pair will be on the court against the Chinese pair of Nan Zhang and Yunlei Zhao. The top-seeded Chinese pair is expected to dominate over the hosts in this encounter. On the other hand, the Danish pair is also capable to cause upsets for the opposition.

Another pair of Chen Xu and Jin Ma will be representing China in the mixed doubles category. This pair will be locking horns with the Indonesian couple of Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir in the second semi-final. The Indonesian pair registered an easy win over the hosts to enter the semis. But the second-seeded Chinese pair is expected to make their way to the Finals.
