Cameroon, Angola, Mozambique and Senegal entered the semifinals of the 2013 AfroBasket for women being held at Maputo, Mozambique.

In the first quarterfinal of the championship, Cameroon defeated Côte d’Ivoire 62 – 48 to enter the last four of the competition while Angola beat Egypt 84 – 49 to set semifinal date with Cameroon in the semis.

In the other quarterfinal, hosts Mozambique defeated Nigeria 77 – 74 as Senegal ease past Mali 67 – 44. Leia Dongue scored 3 point in the last second of the match to help host to enter the semifinal. Senegal will meet hosts Mozambique in the semifinal of the championship.

Top two teams from 2013 ArfoBasket for women will represent FIBA Africa in the 17th edition of the 2014 FIBA World Cup for women in Turkey.

12 African nations are fighting for continental honors in the 23rd edition of this championship, which began on 20th September and will end on the 29th September.
