The winners of the 4th PABSON Inter-School Basketball

Kathmandu English School (KES) and Pennwood Academy won the boys’ and girls’ titles of the Fourth PABSON (Private and Boarding School Organization Nepal) Basketball Tournament held in the Nepalese capital, Kathmandu.

KES defeated the defending champions, Pennwood, 48-42 in the boys’ final with the game-high 13 points from guard Susan Sunuwar. Meanwhile, defending champions Pennwood Academy defended its girls title with a comfortable 28-8 win over Suryodaya English School in the final of the championship. Priya Lama top scored with 14 points for Pennwood Academy.

Ananda Bhumi School won bronze in the boys’ category beating Asian Public School 47-28, while Kathmandu English School secured third place in the girls’ category defeating Maitidevi Boarding School 15-11.

Bimal Thapa Magar (boys) of Kathmandu English School and Priya Lama (girls) of Pennwood Academy were declared the most valuable player of the tournament.

PABSON is the organization of the Private and Boarding schools in Nepal and has been organizing various sports activities among it’s member schools. This year is the fourth edition of the basketball tournament. Total of 64 boys and 32 girls team participated in this years competition.
