Korea defeated Chinese Taipei 57 – 54 to win the bronze medal in the ongoing 22nd FIBA ASIA U18 Championship for women at Jordan. With the bronze medal, Korea also confirmed their ticket to the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship for Women to be played in Russia.
It was a close encounter between the two evenly matched teams. Chinese Taipei won the first quarter 16 – 13, while Korea took the second quarter 17 – 13 to go to the halftime break with one-point lead. Third quarter was tied with both teams scoring16 points each. But it was Korea who took the deciding quarter by 11 – 9 to win bronze and a ticket to Russia.
Park Ji Su finished with 20 points and 21 rebounds for Korea, while Yu Yi-Wen's netted 20 points for Chinese Taipei.
