Mastan League: Super Girls enter final

Mastan League is reaching its climactic moments as the semi-finals will be played today at the YMCA stadium in Mumbai. The last two days of group action saw Lions and Prince storm into the last four from group A. The other group B is in a state of a mess as all four teams have one loss and one win. The other two semi-finalists will be decided in the games that will be played today.

In the women’s game, on 12th May – Geethu Anna Jose has started to become the most dominant force in the tournament. She has been the most consistent and the most effective player in the tournament. Inspite of great marking by the Power Girls, she came out as the leading scorer for her team. Akanksha singh creditably assisted her by scoring 17 points.

In the other women’s match played on 13th May, Prashanti Singh led the golden girls to victory against the Golden Girls.

Warriors beat Rangers comprehensively as Talwinderjit Singh dunked in 32 points on his own leading the warrior charge. Suresh Kumar’s brilliant effort on the other end remained an individual great but his team failed to rally around him as they slumped to defeat.

The semi finals will be played today at the YMCA stadium at Mumbai.
