Nepal Women's National Basketball team after the farewell ceremony

Nepal National Women Basketball Team has left for Tamil Nadu, India to participate in the All India Basketball Championship scheduled to start from July 25 to 30, 2014.

The championship will see the participation of national teams from the Maldives and Sri Lanka, along with Nepal and top teams from nine states of India. The tournament is being organized by the PSG Sports Club to mark the silver Jubilee of PSG Medical College, Coimbatore.

Nepal National Women’s Basketball players comprises of Nayana Shakya, Anusha Malla, Alisha Malla, Sujata Rai, Samichin Bista, Sadina Shrestha, Gyanu Gauchan, Sneha Shrestha, Luvina Singh, Bhawana Lama, Preti Tulachan and Upama Pokhrel. The team is accompanied by coach Bikash Shahi and manager Basanta Raj Giri.

Nepal Olympic Committee and Nepal Basketball Association jointly bid farewell to the team.
