That being that he is the younger brother of LA Lakers guard Russell Westbrook. Currently, the former MVP is in the midst of a resurgence after finding a groove as the team's sixth man.

Raynard and Russell Westbrook share a strong bond

Since they were young, the two Westbrook brothers have always had a close relationship. To this day, they have been by each other's side for their biggest moments.

In 2017, Raynard Westbrook received his master's degree from the University of Oklahoma. On his graduation day, his older brother awaited him on stage to hand him his diploma.

Raynard Westbrook also got a shoutout during the biggest moment of his brother's NBA career. During the 2016-17 season, Russell Westbrook carved his name in the history books as the second player ever to average a triple-double in a season. He led the league in scoring at 31.6 points per game to go along with 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists.

This incredible feat landed Russell Westbrook the MVP award that year. During his acceptance speech, he made sure to mention his younger brother.

"A lot of you guys may not know, but my brother just got his master's two weeks ago. I’m so proud of him, not just for that but the man he is today. He lifts me up every single day. What does Raynard Westbrook do now?

Despite playing college football for multiple years, the younger Westbrook brother did not follow suit in making the leap to the pros. Instead, he decided to continue furthering his education.

After receiving his master's in communication and media studies, Westbrook now works in the family business. Since 2019, he has been the chief content officer of Russell Westbrook Enterprises. The company mainly focuses on Westbrook's investments and partnerships. His net worth is projected to be around five million dollars.

Even all these years later, the brothers still like to keep each other close.
