Back in 2012, IABF was banned by AIBA over the reports of irregularities in conducting elections in the Indian Body.
Subsequently, a new body- Boxing India was formed which failed to get recognition by IOA. Thereafter, an ad-hoc committee was formed under the direction of AIBA which is regulating the participation of Indian boxers in International tournaments.
That has ensured international representation by Indian boxers but the scenario has changed drastically in the National circuit as no National or regional tournaments have been conducted in the absence of a permanent body in last four years.
Hundreds of dreams are dying every year as India is failing to nurture its young talents.
