2019 World Cup final to be played at Lord's Cricket Ground

The winner of the 2019 ICC World Cup will lift this trophy at Lord’s Cricket Ground

England Cricket Board (ECB) has announced that Lord’s Cricket Ground will host the 2017 ICC Women’s World Cup final and also the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup final.

Lord’s will also host two Investec Test matches and the Royal London One Day Cup Final each year in 2017 and 2018 and 2019, and a One Day International in both 2017 and 2018.

This will be the second time that the ‘Home of Cricket’ will host the women’s World Cup final – previously playing host to the same in 1993 where England beat New Zealand. The men’s World Cup final in 2019 will be the fifth time that Lord’s hosts the men’s final – having hosted the first three editions and later in 1999.

In a release on their website, the ECB revealed the stadiums that will host the major cricket matches in the country between 2017 and 2019.

Here is a list of the fixtures that England will play host to between 2017 and 2019:

2017:

West Indies – Tests (3): Edgbaston, Headingley, Lord’s.

ODIs (5): Bristol, Emirates Old Trafford, Kia Oval, Ageas Bowl Southampton, Trent Bridge.

T20i (1): Emirates Durham ICG.

South Africa – Tests (4): Lord’s, Emirates Old Trafford, Kia Oval, Trent Bridge.

ODIs (3): Emirates Durham ICG, Headingley, Lord’s.

T20i (3): SWALEC Cardiff, Ageas Bowl Southampton, Taunton

Final (50 overs): Lord’s

Finals Day (20 overs): Edgbaston

2018:

Pakistan – Tests (2): Headingley, Lord’s.

Australia – ODIs (5): SWALEC Cardiff, Emirates Durham ICG, Emirates Old Trafford, Kia Oval, Trent Bridge.

T20i (1): Edgbaston

India – Tests (5): Edgbaston, Lord’s, Kia Oval, Ageas Bowl Southampton, Trent Bridge.

ODIs (5): Bristol, Headingley, Lord’s, Emirates Old Trafford, Trent Bridge.

T20i (1): SWALEC Cardiff
