BCCI announce probables for T20 World Cup in Bangladesh; Gambhir, Sehwag left out

Sehwag and Gambhir find themselves out of favour with the selectors again

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced a 30-man probables list for the ICC World T20 to be held in Bangladesh in March 2014.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is expected to lead the side and most of the 30-man list treads expected lines. India U-19 star Sanju Samson gets a well deserved place in the shortlist after stellar IPL and Ranji seasons with the Rajasthan Royals and Kerala respectively. Other relatively new faces include Ishwar Pandey, Stuart Binny, Kedar Jadhav, Shahbaz Nadeem and Karn Sharma.

However, there have been some notable omissions as well with Delhi duo Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag being the most notable ones. Irfan Pathan and brother Yusuf too have not made it to the 30-man list. Zaheer Khan also misses out.

The ICC World T20 will be played in Bangladesh from 16th March to 6th April 2014.
