India's team for New-Zealand: Ishwar Pandey included, Yuvraj Singh dropped from ODIs

Ishwar Pandey makes the cut

BCCI has announced the Indian team that will travel to New Zealand for 5 ODI’s and 2 Tests. Umesh Yadav, Mohit Sharma and Yuvraj Singh have been dropped from the ODI team, while Pragyan Ojha gets the boot from the Test squad.

2 new faces in form of Ishwar Pandey and Stuart Binny have been included in the squad. Ishwar Pandey, the medium pacer from Madhya Pradesh, has been included in both the ODI and Test squads while Binny, the son of former Test player Roger Binny, gets a look in the ODI team. Yuvraj Singh, who had a terrible ODI series against Australia and South Africa has been the notable omission from the ODI side.

Varun Aaron, the Jharkhand speedster, makes a comeback into the ODI squad as well after his long injury lay off. The series against the Kiwis starts from 19th of January 2014.
