India’s tour of South Africa is all set to go ahead later this year as the tensions between the Board of Control for Cricket in India and Cricket South Africa have eased following a productive discussion on the sidelines of the ICC Board meeting in London. However, it is most likely to be reduced to 3 ODIs and 2 Tests as against Cricket South Africa’s wish of 7 ODIs and 3 Test matches.

Meanwhile, CSA chief executive Haroon Lorgat, the bone of contention for the existing predicament between the two parties due to the stranglehold he maintained on the BCCI during his time as the CEO of International Cricket Council, is expected to be sent on a long leave to satisfy N.Srinivasan and Co.

Although, nothing has been declared officially from either sides, it is understood that N.Srinivasan and BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel have in principle agreed to a shortened tour in their meet with CSA president Chris Nenzani on Saturday. The confirmation is expected on October 26, when Srinivasan and Patel present the proposed tour itinerary to the BCCI working committee.
