This was just another day in the Vivo IPL. The Rising Pune Super Giants were taking on the Delhi Daredevils at 8pm on Thursday. The social media teams and the fans alike were getting ready for a Twitter battle that happens every day. But this, time it was no normal Twitter battle.

The Rising Pune Supergiants’ social team decided to take LIVE tweeting to the next level. They were LIVE doodling! As soon as Dinda bowled the first over of the match, came out the first Doodle Tweet by the Supergiants’ Twitter handle
Every crazy moment during the match was captured as a cartoon and was uploaded in real time. Supporting every fan, cheering for every run out and screaming for every ball that crossed the boundary, these doodles became a crazy way to interact with the fans.
To those who understand how doodles are made would know how difficult it could get to doodle, forget doing it according to the match situations. These doodles were cheeky, witty and absolutely nailed it when it came to references to few Pune and Delhi things that the people could easily relate to.
Tweeples started engaging with the content straight up. Some of them even were baffled as to what was being thrown at them from the Twitter handle of the Rising Pune Supergiants. What made this activity’s success even sweeter were the fans sending in their own doodles/sketches during the course of the match.
This kind of an activity on Twitter had never been carried out by any IPL team so far across all the editions of the competition. Kudos to those who came up with this interesting strategy.
The icing on the cake though was Pune winning the battle on the ground too, along with winning the hearts on social media.
