N. Srinivasan's third term as BCCI chief under threat

A Supreme Court bench headed by Justice A. K. Patnaik said that N Srinivasan can’t assume the charge as BCCI president until the court decides on the petition of Cricket Association of Bihar. If he has to get re-elected he has to wait till further order by court. However, the court allowed BCCI to hold it’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday at Chennai. The court selected Monday as next the hearing date.

Secretary of Cricket Association of Bihar, Aditya Verma had filed a petition challenging N. Srinivasan. He requested that the court should order BCCI not to select Srinivasan for the third term as its president. He also requested the court to disallow Srinivasan from taking part in any activity of the BCCI.

After charge sheet of his son in law, V. Meiyappan by Mumbai police, N. Srinivasan has been facing huge criticism for holding his post in BCCI. Many members association also pressuring him not to seek re-election. His name was also involved in the charge sheet by CBI against YSR Congress chief Jagmohan Reddy.

However, N. Srinivasan is quite confident about being re-elected for his third term.
