So after all the preparations, Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is all set to join his life with his fiancee mechanical engineer Reeva Solanki today. Jadeja got engaged to UPSC aspirant Reeva in the first week of February. Unlike most other cricketers, Jadeja did not have a girlfriend; he did not know Reeva, who also belongs to the same Rajput community as him, till two months ago.
The Jadeja and Solanki families met a few months ago and they set a meeting between the two, who liked each other and are now finally getting married. In an interview, Jadeja said that when they first met both of them found that they are similar in many ways. That’s when they decided that they are made for each other.
Due to Jadeja’s cricketing schedule, the engagement ceremony took place in early February. At the ceremony, the two exchanged rings, as per the custom, but also gifted a gold bracelet to each other.

Reeva Solanki is the only child of her parents. Her father Hardevsinh Solanki is a businessman, and her mother Prafulla works for the Indian Railways. Her parents live in Gujarat but she did most of her studies outside Gujarat, finishing her mechanical engineering in Delhi. She once said in an interview that she didn’t watch any cricket, but now she watches it when Jadeja plays. How sweet of her!
Jadeja did not play yesterday’s game against Mumbai but he may play the next game against Hyderabad. The all-rounder's close friends Suresh Raina, Dwayne Bravo, Gujarat Lions players and other Indian players will arrive in Rajkot on Sunday to attend the reception. A party will be hosted at a hotel on Kalavad Road for Jadeja's fellow cricketers and close friends. After the wedding ceremony, the couple will visit Hadatoda, Jamnagar for more rituals at Jadeja’s native place.

When Jadeja was riding his ghodi (horse), a family member fired shots from his pistol as it is considered as a customary celebration. Hearing the shots, the horse lost control and went berserk for a moment. But Sir Jadeja was able to control him.

Jadeja is the king of skills that’s why he is called ‘Sir’. During the sangeet ceremony, Jadeja showcased his sword skills in front of guests in Rajkot.
