F1 British GP : No points for Force India at Silverstone

Force India who has enjoyed a very strong qualifying performance with Di Resta in particular didn’t have a very good outing at British GP as the team fails to score even a single point at British GP. Paul Di Resta finished the race on 15th place behind Pastor Maldonado a lap down to the race leader where as Adrian finished the race on 11th position just .6 second behind Jaime Alguersuari’s Torro Rosso.

Force India stated the race brilliantly as the home boy Paul Di Resta make his car stick at 7th place behind Jenson Button he lost one place because of some superb drive by Lewis Hamilton. On the other hand Adrian Sutil drove brilliantly and moved up the order constantly and was at P8 behind his teammate Paul Di Resta. Both the Force India drivers were looking good and kept on registering some good lap times.

Both the Force India’s were in total control till the first round of pit stops started. The team just made the clutter because of the miscommunication in their pit stop. When Paul Di Resta came in for his pit stop Force India took out Adrian’s tyres and made a total mess of the stop. Di Resta because of that he waited longer which ruined his chances his gaining any point. After his release desperate Di Resta had a clash with the Buemi and broke his front wing which put him even back in the order.

Adrian on the other hand didn’t able to score any point because of some not so good strategy by the team. Adrian was in the point’s bracket till the very end but the third pit stop ruined his chances and he only managed 11th. It was a surprise to see Adrian going for the third pit stop because others were on the two pit stop strategy and Force India was not that much fast to catch others. Even Michael who had a penalty managed to score some respectable points.

The British GP proved to be a total disaster for the team because some bad calls and messy pitstops. Force India will be utterly disappointed but will be looking for a comeback at Germany which is Adrian’s home race.
