Berlin, Dec 18 (IANS) The manager of Michael Schumacher has said that the health of the German former Formula One driver was and will remain a strictly private matter, almost three years after his ski accident in France.

Manager Sabine Kehm explained in a statement on Saturday that there will be no future information about the private situation of the 47-year-old driver, reports Efe news agency.

The manager admitted that it is difficult for some to understand this matter, "but we act in full agreement with the opinion of Michael and we appreciate your understanding."

In recent weeks, Schumacher's official website was reactivated, as well as his accounts on Facebook and Twitter.

Schumacher suffered a serious ski accident on December 29, 2013, in the French Alps, after which he spent several months in a coma at the hospital.

The German driver awoke from the coma in June 2014 and was transferred to a rehabilitation clinic in Lausanne, Switzerland, and then moved to live with the family in a house in Gland in the canton of Vaud, where a team of specialists and therapists take care of him.
