The Formula One drivers have been warned about having their qualifying time disallowed at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix if they violate the track limits in the final corner.
FIA took the decision after a drivers’ briefing held on Friday at the Yas Marina circuit. According to the new stricter rules the, drivers who put all four wheels across the track limit lines will have their laptime disallowed.
The rules regarding track limits has been a major taking point in recent times , with the drivers allowed freely to run across the kerbs because of it not giving an advantage.
However, stricter rule will be laid down for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix but the drivers will be allowed to run slightly wide as long as a portion of their one wheel is confined within the limits.
