AFC president Shaikh Salman to address Leaders Sport Business summit in London

AFC President one of the speakers at the Leaders Sports Business Summit in London

Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation, is set to speak at the Leaders Sport Business Summit at Stamford Bridge in London, which will be held on October 8/9, 2014.The AFC President joins other dignitaries who will be speaking at the event including Jeffrey Webb, President, CONCACAF; Christian Seifert, CEO, German Bundesliga and Erick Thohir, Owner and President, FC Internazionale Milano.

Committed to reinvigorate the solidarity of the Asian football community whilst safeguarding and promoting the game, Shaikh Salman will talk about the future of football in Asia, including the forthcoming 2015 AFC Asian Cup in Australia, the continued development of the AFC Champions League and other AFC tournaments, the importance of strengthening the foundation of football development including social responsibility as well as the challenges and opportunities of governing the world's most populous football region.

Shaikh Salman commented, "The AFC is now more determined than ever to oversee the growth of Asian football through the many initiatives and development programmes that we have designed for the long term. The 7th edition of the Leaders Sport Business Summit will see 1500 of sport's leading executives come together for two days of knowledge exchange and networking.
