Assistant Referee Massey returns to action

Sian Massesy, the assistant referee who was embroiled in the Sky Sports sexist controversy will run the line today for the first time since the incident.

Massey whose last game in Premier League action was at the Wolves-Liverpool match, last month will be seen officiating tonight’s game at Bloomfield Road between Blackpool and Aston Villa. This will be her first game in the Premier League since former Sky presenters Andy Gray and Richard Keys made off-air sexist remarks about her. She previously returned to action in the League One last weekend.

Gray and Keys, made the controversial comments prior to kick-off in the Molineux Stadium on the 22nd of January which created a huge media furore. Gray was subsequently sacked by Sky, and Keys later resigned. The pair have since signed up to work for radio station TalkSport.
