Gareth Bale excited about playing UEFA Super Cup in Cardiff

Gareth Bale in action for Real Madrid

After clinching the much awaited 'La Decima' with Real Madrid 5 weeks ago, the world's most expensive player Gareth Bale is relishing the prospect of playing the UEFA Super Cup with the Galacticos in his hometown, Wales.

Having the summer off to rest and recuperate and with no pressure of the world cup, the 24-year old Welsh international reportedly returned to Wales this week and was spotted shooting for a commercial in Penarth, when the Welsh media caught up with him.

Bale expressed his hunger for more European glory with the Spanish giants and the excitement of playing in front of the home crowd. "I am really looking forward to the super cup at Cardiff. I will be playing in my home city. It will be a fantastic occasion to know I will be playing in front of all my friends and my family."

He further adds, "the city has changed in recent years, it has hosted several world-class sporting events and this year's super cup is another opportunity to showcase the Welsh capital."
