Bastian Schweinsteiger has confirmed that he has no problems with United boss, Jose Mourinho though he has banished him to train with the reserves. The German has expressed his desire to stay with Manchester United till a good offer comes up as he will look to help United whenever his services will be needed.

Tomorrow marks the end of Schweinsteiger's illustrious international career which had 120 caps for Germany, as he has announced his retirement after the friendly against Finland.

When asked about the rumoured fallout between him and Mourinho, he said, "My absolute dream would be to play for Manchester United and to help them with their goals. I have no personal problems with Jose Mourinho.”

“I still believe in my own ability. I could still help United if given the chance. I have to wait and see now how it goes in September and October and how it develops. One thing is for sure, I'm not going to stop playing football."

It is reported that United have set a price of just £2 million for the World Cup but will mostly go unsold with just a day remaining in the transfer market.

On rumours of the 32-year-old joining Steven Gerrard, Andrea Pirlo and Steven Gerrard in the MLS, he said, "The MLS transfer window is closed. So it won't happen this season. But of course, the US is an option."

Celtic too were rumoured to be in contention to sign Schweinsteiger but their boss, Brendan Rodgers quickly denied any such links.

Jose Mourinho in the last week had explained that why the German would find it tough to gather some playing time under his management. "I think it's very difficult to happen. I'm not saying it's impossible. I'm saying it's very difficult. We have a decision completely made about Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera, Morgan Schneiderlin, Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick. We have five players for two positions. It's very difficult that an opportunity will arrive." he said.

Basti had this message for the United fans:

Bayern Munich president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge had earlier criticised Jose Mourinho over his treatment of Bastian Schweinsteiger.

The United boss hit back at those claims saying, "I thought after I read some quotes from people at Bayern Munich that they would run to Manchester to bring Schweinsteiger back, but no, that did not happen. I am quite surprised that Mr Rummennigge is not here now to take him back."
