Bollywood star John Abraham buys Shillong Lajong's stake in NorthEast United FC!

Bollywood star John Abraham is now the sole owner of the Indian Super League franchise NorthEast United FC after he bought the stake of I-League club Shillong Lajong FC in the franchise.Last year before the launch of the Indian Super League, the partnership between John Abraham and the Northeast's first-ever I-League club Shillong Lajong FC was seen as a pathbreaking step and something to follow my other franchises and I-League clubs, but during the first season itself the problems were visible in the partnership. Now Shillong Lajong FC will solely focus on itself as a club in Shillong, while NorthEast United FC will be taken care off by John Abraham and his people. In the new season NorthEast United FC have retained Rehenesh T.P., Aiborlang Khongjee, Robin Gurung, Boithang Haokip and Alen Deory, who all will join the franchise from Shillong Lajong FC; while Sanju Pradhan (Atletico de Kolkata) and Holicharan Narzary (FC Goa/Dempo SC) are the new Indian signings so far. On the other hand young striker Seiminlen Doungel has left for the Delhi Dynamos FC.
