Yahoo! Sport reports that Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo gave a rather surprising reply when he was asked to describe himself in one word by during an interview with TV channel Cuatro.

The reply given by Ronaldo, who has scored 153 goal in 143 matches for Madrid and was a Ballon d’Or winner in 2008, was completely strange.

“Normal. My attitude to life is normal. I try to do the right things, to do them well. I’m a footballer and I try to make people happy,” he said.

The next question that was asked was how he would rate his ability as a footballer, and the reply given by Ronaldo was on that showed his extreme determination.

“Nine. I always want to improve and 10 is the maximum. I’m not a 10,” said the Portugal skipper.

“My mentality is one of playing well, training well, and that is the target.”

The 28-year-old has often given a snobbish an self-centered image of himself but received praised when he requested the American authorities not to level charges against a fan who ran onto the pitch to hug him this year.

The ex-Manchester United player requested Florida police to let the fan go without any charges levied against him.

During Madrid’s pre-season tour of America this August a 19-year-old supporter rushed onto the pitch to meet Ronaldo who was in Miami to participate in his teams tour. The striker interacted with teenager before telling the authorities to be lenient with him before he was hauled off the pitch.
