Real Madrid will be hoping Cristiano Ronaldo is fully fit by the time they face Atletico Madrid

Real Madrid’s star man Cristiano Ronaldo has eased fears about injury concerns saying that he feels perfectly fine. The Portuguese superstar had scored two goals in the first half and although Real Madrid claimed a comfortable 2-0 victory over Deportivo thanks to Ronaldo’s brace, it was not enough to claim the La Liga title.

The major talking point of the match was the fact that Ronaldo was taken off after the first half to be replaced by James Rodriguez leading to concerns that he might have suffered an injury. Zidane, when asked in the post-match press conference about the three-time Ballon d’Or winner did little to ease the concerns of the Madrid fans when he said that Ronaldo had suffered a blow to the foot and was taken off as a precaution.

Ronaldo himself, however, was in a bullish mood answering the reporters in his own inimitable style:

"How am I? Haven't you seen the match?" said Ronaldo when approached by media members in between the stadium.

After this outburst, Ronaldo smiled back at the reporters to say that he was confident of being fully fit for the Champions League final against Atletico Madrid on May 28th.

Ronaldo has exactly two weeks to regain full strength before the most important match of the season, where he'll look to add goals to his current tally of 51 in all competitions and win his second Champions League with Real Madrid; and his third overall (Manchester United 2007/08).

Cristiano Ronaldo breaks yet another goalscoring record

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best players ever in the history of the game, and the Portuguese superstar created another record when Real Madrid beat Deportivo 2-0 in the final La Liga game of the season. Ronaldo’s brace meant that he became the first player in history to score 50 goals or more in six consecutive seasons showing his incredible consistency and impact at Real Madrid.

The Real Madrid forward has netted 51 times so far this season in all competitions, including 35 in La Liga and 16 in the Champions League. Although Ronaldo lost out on the pichichi to Barcelona's Luis Suarez, Ronaldo has had another incredible season with his goalscoring exploits being absolutely phenomenal.

Zidane will be hoping that his star man will add to his incredible goal tally when they face Atletico Madrid in the all-important Champions League finals.
