Cristiano Ronaldo denies having a rift with his new teammates.

Following the hoopla surrounding his comments made on Real Madrid’s transfer policy, Cristiano Ronaldo took to twitter to clarify his statement on Saturday.

When asked about the recent new signings and the departure of Angel Di Maria and Xabi Alonso, the 29-year old forward said, "I have a very clear opinion but I cannot always say what I think."

"If not I would be on the front page of the newspaper tomorrow and I don't want that,” he added. “But, if I was in charge, maybe I would not have done it like that. But if the president thinks that the best thing for the team is to buy the players he bought and let others leave we have to respect and support his decisions."

His comments were misinterpreted by media with even some reports hinting that the Portuguese will be leaving the team next season.

However, the Portuguese forward has now clarified his statement through twitter.

[Translation: “My new teammates are great! With them we have completed a great team. We’re going for it all! A hug and Hala Madrid!”]

Perez had earlier played down the ‘spat’ between the two, describing Ronaldo’s loyalty to the squad as unquestionable. “I know Cristiano Ronaldo very well,” Pérez had said in a press conference. “Cristiano is the best player in the world and his loyalty to Madrid is unquestionable. I have listened to all the comments he made and as I know him, I know that he never questioned the club. My relationship with him is perfect, there are zero discrepancies.”
