f

After days of drama over the coverage of the 34th Federation Cup, finally it seems like football crazy Indians could get some taste of this tournament. It has been reported that the government sports channel, DD Sports has agreed to cover the two semi-finals and the final match of the Federation Cup after AIFF secretary Mr. Praful Patel involved himself in this issue.

At first it was decided that Ten Sports will cover the whole Federation Cup from September 19th to 30th. But somehow the deal which was supposed to happen between Ten Sports and AIFF’s business and marketing partner IMG-Reliance on September 18th was called off. As a result, football fans from all over India were unable to catch a glimpse of this mega tournament. After AIFF’s vice-president Mr. Subrata Dutta informed secretary Mr. Praful Patel about this issue, with the help of honorable secretary, DD Sports took the responsibility to cover the semis and final of 34th Federation Cup.

According to the schedule the two semi-final matches are on September 27th and 28th, and the final of the Federation Cup will be held on September 30.
