Barcelona legend Deco has helped his friend Deivid, a former player himself, fulfill his son Cauan’s wish to meet his idol Lionel Messi. Cauan who is only eight years old is a huge fan of the Argentina captain insisted his father Deivid assist him in meeting the star.
Deivid, a former Flamengo and Coritba player enlisted Deco, an ex-teammate of Messi(2004-2008) to promote this meeting in Rio De Janiero where the match between Argentina and Bosnia was to be held.
Deco was the one who brokered the contact with Messi and took Cauan to Messi hotel room in Rio. Incidentally Deco is also the author of the photo where Messi and Cauan appear together.
Deividi speaking about his son said “Cauan is crazy about Messi. Once he left the dinner table, saw that Argentina would play at Rio, where we live and made me promise I would find a way for him to make a picture with the idol”.
After carrying out the wishes of the child, the striker thanked his friend Deco, whom he knew at the time he acted in Portugese football in 2005.
