Video: Deleted Scenes from the upcoming Cristiano Ronaldo movie

Ballon D'Or Cristiano ROnaldo and Son
Cristiano Ronaldo’s son is named after him

A deleted scene from the Cristiano Ronaldo movie that is set to be released in cinemas on November 9 has appeared. In the video the three-time Ballon d’Or winner is seen talking to his son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.

In the one minute long clip, the Portuguese captain is seen trying to teach his son to say his name correctly. His son, who bears the same name as his father keeps saying his name is Cristiano Santos instead of Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.

It is understandable that the kid is confused as his father’s actual name goes as Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro. After a while the three-time Ballon d’Or winner gives up and ends up telling his son to just go by the name Cristiano Junior.

The trailer of his movie named “Ronaldo” was released at the end of last month and it shows the journey of a young boy from Funchal, Madeira to the star of Europe. It took 14-months to complete and shows the player on and off the field after he won his third Ballon d’Or. This is also the first movie that the 30-year old has authorized and it shows his life on and off the football pitch. The movie will also be released on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital HD.

The movie was made by same team that made the movie on F1 racer Ayrton Senna who lost his life in a tragic accident while leading the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. The director Asif Kapadia, who is a British filmmaker, also directed the movie on British singer Amy Winehouse named “Amy”.

It is to be seen if the new movie based on the former Manchester United player’s life will be a success or not, but if Ronaldo’s formidable fanbase is anything to go by, then anything by a smash hit will be a disappointment.
