Brazil coach Dunga criticises Neymar and Dani Alves

Brazil’s new coach Dunga criticises Brazilian team for their off-field behaviour during the World Cup 2014

Brazil’s new head coach Dunga has criticised the behaviour of Brazilian players relating to the incident where player’s cried after losing a game in World Cup.

The former World Champion for Brazil, also made an indirect reference to Neymar indicating that players are supposed to wear nation caps rather than branded caps to market their sponsors.

Dunga criticises Neymar and Alves for unnecessary attention

"The main focus has to be the Brazil national team. When you give a press conference on international duty you give it in a Brazil cap. You have to market the beautiful game", opined Dunga while giving an interview on Globo TV’s programme Fantastico.

Neymar was seen wearing one of the sponsor’s wearing caps during a press conference in the recently concluded World Cup in Brazil.

The new coach also remarked about the young Barcelona striker Daniel Alves, for changing his hairstyle midway during the World Cup which according to him was seeking unnecessary attention.

He said that "people should talk more about what I do on the pitch and less about what I do off it".

Men don’t cry, we like to think we are macho

In an interview with Brazilian weekly magazine Veja, the 50-year-old coach curiously enough took a dig at players of the Brazilian team who cried after losing the matches in the tougher stages of the World Cup.

"Tearful scenes like those witnessed during the game against Chile promote a negative image of football. We're macho, we like to think that men don't cry, although we respect everyone", he said.
