FIFA World Cup 2014 Brazil gets its own standalone game.

Electronic Arts (EA) has come up with an announcement revealing the release of a standalone FIFA World Cup 2014 Brazil game, to be released on April 15 in North America and April 17 across Europe..

The game will only be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 users, and won’t be coming out on PC due to development issues.

“We’ve got to focus development on where there will be biggest for the buck. So obviously 360 and PS3 are still, by far, the most popular games consoles right now,” Game Producer Matt Prior told IGN. “Over time that’s likely to change. But right now they have the biggest market penetration and we wanted to get this game to as many people as we possibly could.”

The game comes with multiple improvements and innovations from the gameplay of FIFA 14, including the “World Class Control” feature which includes additional dribbles and flicks. The game will have four major modes – Road to the FIFA World Cup, Road to Rio de Janeiro, Captain your Country and Story of Qualifying. They will have further more additional modes including Kick Off and Skill Games.

It will be the first FIFA instalment since the 2010 South Africa World Cup game to feature all 203 nations in addition to 7,469 players, 19 officially licensed managers, 21 stadiums, including all 12 authentic stadiums in Brazil, and over 15 hours of added in-game commentary.

“When we ship, we will be the best football game on 360 and PS3,” says Matt Prior.
