It was a draw in the highly anticipated North London Derby and both teams would not be happy with that point. Both could have gone home with all 3 points but they just could not convert their chances.

Here are the player ratings from the North London Derby:

Cech - 7/10

Was not put under pressure many times by the Tottenham players. Almost conceded from the free kick late in the 2nd half but was brilliant overall. He judged the right direction for Harry Kane's penalty and was almost successful in keeping it out.

Bellerín - 7/10

He made some good runs forward but his crosses were very bad. Did well to stop Son from scoring when the game was level and kept Rose quiet throughout the game.

Mustafi - 5.5/10

Harry Kane gave him a tough time today. Took a lot of risks and gave away way too many fouls. Missed a lot of clearances in the first half and was caught out of position several times.

Koscielny - 6/10

Conceded the penalty that got Arsenal to drop 2 points at home. Son and Dembele made things more difficult for him. The first half was ok but he was very bad in the 2nd half.

Monreal - 7/10

Best of the Arsenal defenders today. Rock solid and in the right position throughout the match. The block on Harry Kane has to be the best thing he did in the match.

Xhaka - 7/10

His passing was good but the long balls he attempted were cleared off easily. Did a good job in the midfield and helped Arsenal get their feet in the game after a shaky start.

Coquelin - 7.5/10

He along with Xhaka did a brilliant job in the midfield to keep the Tottenham players quiet for most of the match. They did some good interceptions and Coquelin might well be named as Arsenal's best player of the match.

Walcott - 6.5/10

Almost opened the scoring with a brilliant shot in the first half and was sharp throughout the game. Brought life into the North London Derby when he got into a heated argument with Vertonghen.

Özil - 6.5/10

Could have easily given Arsenal the lead in the first half but he scuffed his shot. Was full of confidence but was unable to make the much-needed key passes when required. None the less, it was his free kick that got Arsenal their only goal of the match.

Iwobi - 5/10

He's young and just getting better at his game but when you're given the chance to take centre stage, you have to grab the opportunity. Twice in the first half, he had the chance give Arsenal the lead but squandered it. First, he mishit the shot and then he misplaced the pass.

Sanchez - 6/10

Ran up and down the pitch throughout the match but just did not have the end product today. He's doing well as a centre-forward but when he was pushed to the wings when Giroud came on, he could not do much.

Subs:

Ramsey - 6/10

Came on the 65th minute for Coquelin but could not impact the game as much as Wenger would have wanted him to.

Giroud - 5/10

Could not replicate the heroics he had at Sunderland last week and was involved in just one attack that led to his header being saved by Lloris.

Oxlade-Chamberlain - 3/10

Poor. Very very poor.

Back in the team, back on the scoresheet!

Hugo Lloris - 7/10

Made some vital saves to keep the Gunners at bay. Way excellent throughout the match. Unlucky to conceded in one of the worst ways possible.

Vertonghen - 7.5/10

Tottenham's best defender today. Was on the toes of Sanchez every now and then. Managed to escape a booking for the shirt pull on Xhaka but overall, he was excellent today.

Wimmer - 4.5/10

In a high-pressure game like this, the manager expects you to be on top of your game all the time. But instead, the pressure got to Wimmer and he crumbled under it. Scored an own goal and was very bad throughout the match.

Eric Dier - 6.5/10

Did well to adjust in a new position today and was good on the ball. Was on top of his game throughout the game and was very focused. Got booked for running off with the ball, rather than the foul he committed.

Danny Rose - 5/10

Could not manage to do anything in the game. Was kept quiet by Bellerin and was proved ineffective on the left flank. Adjusted better to the wing-back role but could have done a lot better.

Dembelé - 8/10

Best player of the match! Was very strong in the midfield and it was his run into the box that won Tottenham the penalty. Could have done a lot better in a few situations but overall, he was the standout performer of the day.

Wanyama - 5/10

He's settled in well at Tottenham but today was not his best game. He won the ball in midfield a lot of times but was not able to do much with it.

Walker - 5/10

Was never comfortable in the wing back role today. Went off injured and that was pretty much his action in the entire game.

Heung-Min Son - 7/10

Was good on the ball but did not do much with it in the final third. Could have crossed or passed the ball several times to Kane but was selfish and that spoiled so many good chances for Tottenham to score. Troubled and embarrassed Mustafi more than once.

Eriksen - 7/10

Played in the #10 role today and looked way more comfortable than anyone on the pitch. He set up Harry Kane with a brilliant chance and also tested Cech with a couple of good shots. Hit the post late in the 2nd half with a brilliant free kick that left everyone stranded.

Harry Kane - 7.5/10

Back in the team and back on the scoresheet! First game back so we can't complain much about his pace but overall, he was showing signs of getting back to his scoring form.

Subs:

Vincent Janssen - 5/10

Replaced Harry Kane in the 2nd half but could not threaten the Arsenal goal at all.

Kieran Trippier - N/A

Came on for the injured Walker in the 80th minute but was ineffective.

Harry Winks - N/A

Came on in the 89th minute and did absolutely nothing.
