FC Goa coach Zico plans to run for FIFA President in the future

Current FC Goa coach Zico, whose full name is Arthur Antunes Coimbra, at a press conference in Rio de Janeiro announced that he would consider running for FIFA presidency once current president Sepp Blatter steps down.

Zico said: "It's sad for our sport to see what is happening in football today, the corruption and the hard work of many other good people wasted, and I see it as my duty to use my experience and knowledge to try and stand for the presidency."

"Changes in the rules of the game would be necessary because with the rules that are in place now, there isn't the slightest possibility (of being elected).

“I am 62 years old and I only remember two presidents of FIFA, Joao Havelange and Blatter," Zico said.

"Were they the only two capable people in the world to rule over football?" Zico asked.
