FIFA announces shortlist for best goal, manager, women's player and manager of the year awards

James Rodriguez’s, of Colombia, strike against Uruguay was the best goal of the World Cup

On the same day when the shortlist for the FIFA Ballon d’Or awards was announced, FIFA announced the shortlist for several other awards as well.

The FIFA World Coach of the year will be decided amongst :

• Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid)
• Joachim Low (Germany)
• Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid)

The FIFA Puskas award, given to the best goal of the year will be awarded to one of :

• Stephanie Roche (Ireland)
• James Rodriguez (Colombia)
• Robin van Persie (Netherlands)

The women’s world player of the year shortlist was also revealed:

• Nadine Kessler (Germany)
• Marta (Brazil)
• Abby Wambach (USA)

The Women’s FIFA Coach of the Year will be one of :

• Ralf Kellermann (Germany)
• Maren Meinert (Germany)
• Norio Sasaki (Japan)
