Gameweek 6 Preview - TAL Crystal Ball

Horizons Gremio

TAL Season 2 is now getting into the thick of the action as we approach Gameweek 6. The headliner of the day is the match between Saints FC and Horizons FC, which could decide the title well not entirely, this is football after all, and nothing is decided till the final day.

8:30AM – Yataghan BFC v Flipkart FC

GW 6 kicks off with Yataghan BFC taking on Flipkart FC. Yataghan has found some good form in the past couple of weeks, whichhas taken them to third place. New additions have made a big impact to this team as they have found some new attacking mojo. Flipkart FC has shown that they can match up to almost anyone with their only loss coming against Gremio. Both teams play an attacking style of football and a goal fest is likely on the cards.

Crystal Ball: Yataghan BFC 2 – 2 Flipkart FC

10:00 AM – Indian Ocean v Project 7

The second game of the morning session has Indian Ocean going head to head against Project 7. Indian Ocean is coming off a thumping win against FC Kougen Kikou and will be looking to build on that. Project 7 has shown glimpses of the talent at their disposal in their inaugural season but has been over reliant on striker Rahul Singh to find the net; but if they are to start winning more games, he will surely need more support. Both teams will be looking for a win in their quest to climb up the standings.

Crystal Ball: Indian Ocean 3 – 2 Project 7

11:30 AM – Samba FC v Rare Dare FC

A derby between Samba FC and Rare Dare FC rounds off the morning session. Samba FC has been a much-improved team from last season but a 9-0 loss to Horizons might have dented the team’s morale. Rare Dare FC registered their first win of the season last week when they beat Mercurial FC. RDFC seems to have finally found the right formation, especially at the back, but whether that will be enough to beat fierce local rivals, Samba FC, will remain unanswered till this Sunday.

Crystal Ball – Samba FC 1 – 1 Rare Dare FC

1:15 PM – Horizons FC v Saints FC

The afternoon session kicks off with the headliner of the day when Horizons FC play Saints FC. Both teams have been in blistering form, having dominated all teams in their path and are separated from each other only by goal difference. Horizons are coming off their biggest win ever when they beat Samba 9-0 in GW 5. Saints FC defeated Gremio FC in the same game-week to make sure (well almost…) that the title race is a two horse race. This should be an exciting match with two well-matched teams taking on each other.

Crystal Ball: Horizons FC 2 – 1 Saints FC

2:45PM – Mavericks FC v FC Kougen Kikou

Mavericks FC take on FC Kougen Kikou in the second game of the afternoon. Mavericks FC have had a roller coaster ride throughout this season and only they know whether Jekyll or Hyde will show up. FC Kougen Kikou started off the season strongly but has lost important members of their squad to injury, thereby depleting their strength. Both teams are desperate for consistency and a win this week might set the tone for the second half of the season.

Crystal Ball: Mavericks FC 1 – 1 FC Kougen Kikou

4:15 PM – Gremio FC v Mercurial FC

The final game of the day features Gremio FC and Mercurial FC. Gremio FC is coming from two heavy back-to-back losses having conceded 9 and scored none. Their three wins in three at the start of the season almost seems like distant past and they need to regroup if they are to have any chance of finishing in the top three this season. Mercurial FChasn’t played as badly as their current position at the bottom of the table suggests and will be praying for a bit of luck to ensure they don’t get relegated.

Crystal Ball: Gremio FC 2 – 1 Mercurial FC
