Gareth Bale has signed a new mega deal which will see him wear the Real Madrid jersey for another five years till 2021. The previous contract was for six years which he signed after moving from Tottenham Hotspur in a world record fee of £86 million back in 2013.

Bale still has three years left in his contract but the player seems to be happy in committing to a long-term deal at Real Madrid.

Gareth Bale will now earn £375,000/week, which will see him pocketing in a salary on par with club legend and captain, Sergio Ramos, and just behind their talisman Cristiano Ronaldo. The new deal means that the 27-year-old forward will now bag £8.6 million per year.

Marca also reports that club president Florentino Perez will offer 31-year-old Croatian Luka Modric and teenager Martin Odegaard new contracts.

Bale had a phenomenal EURO 2016, helping his country reach the semi-finals in the tournament, before eventually being knocked out by Ronaldo’s Portugal.

Ever since Real Madrid sacked Rafa Benitez last season, Bale was subjected to a tricky situation regarding his role at the club but continued to deliver magical performances throughout the season.

Gareth Bale has been the subject of transfer speculations in almost every transfer window. With the Premier League clubs getting cash rich every season and high profile managers being roped in to attract the best of players available, the Real Madrid president wasted no time in tabling a lucrative offer before the pacy winger to fend off any interest from other European giants.

Bale has been quite a remarkable performer for the Galacticos over the last couple of years. Although he has played second fiddle to Ronaldo, he has lived up to his potential and the high expectations of the Bernabéu.

Bale, known for his pace and agility along with his powerful shooting range, has scored 60 goals in 124 appearances for his club since his move in the summer of 2013.

In big matches, he has been quite a game changer, to say the least. In his debut 13-14 season, he scored in the Copa del Rey final as well as in extra time of the UEFA Champions League final against their city rivals Atletico Madrid, to help Real conquer La Decima.

This new contract will see Bale playing at Madrid in his prime, which is usually between the ages of 27 and 30.
