Germany with the 2014 World Cup

Germany is undoubtedly the most consistent team in world football. Take a closer look at their incredible recent record in major tournaments and here is what you get to see: four consecutive world cup semifinals (in the years 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014) lifting the Cup trophy after 24 years in 2014. This is backed up by a similar astonishing record in the European Championships as well: three Consecutive Semi-Finals ( in the years 2008, 2010, 2012) wherein they lost out to quality opponents in Spain and Italy.

'Die Mannschaft' commences every tournament as one of the favourites to win it. The reason for this being very simple. They have a team with a mixture of an immensely talented bunch of youngsters combined with a few senior members, with the former members being the 'responsible' ones for the results. Very contradictory to other teams which rely on their experienced players to deliver the goods.

Germany will again be going into the 2016 European Championships as one of the favourites, yet again. This time with Thomas Müller, Toni Kroos, Mario Gotzë leading the pack of talented youngsters which also include Christopher Kramer, Jonas Hector, Emre Can and Co. who will be decisive for Germany in the tournament.

Such is the impressive policy of team that two of the senior most players of the team, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Lukas Podolski are just 30, which clearly shows that the German machine depends on their youngsters and with the amount of talent at Coach Joachim Löw's disposal they can afford to do so.

Most of the German team has already featured in the 2014 edition of World Cup which saw them become the World Champions. The surprising fact being that most youngsters are just 25 years old.

The German Under-21 side also consists of players like Max Meyer, and Lèroy Sane who have made their senior team debuts and are hailed as wonder kids.

With such an incredible bench strength, experienced heads to guide them and a system which is unique in itself, the Germans have ruled the roost in world football recently. The speciality of the system is such that promising talent is nurtured from the Under-14 level.

A similar bunch of players go on to play for Under 19’s, Under 21’s and subsequently the Senior team. A perfect proof of this is that the German Under 21 world cup squad of 2011 which had 7 graduates in the senior team currently ( Thomas Muller, Mats Hummels, Mario Gotze, Benedict Howedes,Holger Badstuber, Mesut Ozil, Kevin Trapp).

With youngsters like Joshua Kimmich(German Under-21 International and Bayern Munich defender), who has got valuable first team experience in the Bayern Munich side under Pep Guardiola has shined. Whilst Julian Weigl who has been the find of the season for Borussia Dortmund. With talents like these coming to the fore, its safe to say that German football is in safe hands in times to come.
