GTC Challenge: Assam Rifles clinched the title

Assam Rifles of Tezpur defeated OIL India FC after extra time to clinched the 6th GTC challenge trophy. Under the flood lights, both team entertained the crowd with their skills.

Manash Manjit Chetia of OIL scored the first goal in the 14th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, N. Kamei equalisedfor the Assam Rifles.

After 90 minutes, the scoreline remained at 1-1 and it remained the same after extra time too. In tiebreaker for Assam Rifles – L. Santa Singh, Bulu Jidung, Ajit Singh and D Mukhim found the back of the net but for OIL only Prasanta Sonowal scored.

By virtue of the win, Assam Rifles were awarded Rs. 50,000 and OIL India pocketed Rs. 30,000.
