Reports of Barcelona right-back Dani Alves inching away for a move to Manchester United has been denied by prominent journalist Guillem Balague who insists the Brazillian is instead negotiating with the club for a new contract.
He wrote on Twitter: “Alves has NOT signed for United. He's negotiating a new contract with FCB. Main sticking point: club wants wages reduced. So his future not decided yet.”
Alves was poised to a move to Old Trafford according to Chisanga Malata of the Daily Star who reported that the 31-year-old has agreed to a move already to move on a free transfer at the end of the season.
