Barcelona’s Neymar celebrates his first goal against Athletic Club Bilbao at the Camp Nou

Barcelona forward Neymar came on as a substitute and scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao at the Camp Nou on Saturday evening.

Both goals came in the second half and this was the first time the Brazilian had scored for the Catalan club since March this year.

The win takes them to the top of the La Liga table with a perfect record – three wins from three games without conceding a goal yet.

Barcelona 1-0 Athletic: Neymar (79’)

Neymar had come on in the 63rd minute when he replaced Munir El Haddadi. And he made his presence felt in the first five minutes itself. But it was in the 79th minute when he opened his account on a fast break. Lionel Messi turned provider as he slipped him through and the Brazilian scored from inside the box into the right bottom corner.

Neymar then doubled the advantage five minutes later with Messi grabbing a second assist with a run down the right flank, entering the box and beating three defenders before crossing it to Neymar who took a right footed shot into the bottom right corner.
