Cristiano Ronaldo marked his 250th game for Real Madrid with a pile-driver of a goal (his 255th for Madrid) against newly promoted side Cordoba at the Santiago Bernabeu on Monday night.

It was a game where new signings Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez also played an important role in grabbing all three points.

Real Madrid 1-0 Cordoba: Benzema (30’)

The French striker opened the scoring in the first half with an unstoppable, powerful header from a corner kick sent in by Toni Kroos.


Real Madrid 2-0 Cordoba: Ronaldo (90’)

Ronaldo then marked a personal milestone with a sensational goal that was taken from outside the box and beat the diving goalkeeper. The ball was nicked from the defender after which Ronaldo pounced on it and took it before finding ample space to shoot.
