Manchester United are Premier League's most hated club according to survey

Manchester United is the most hated club in England

Manchester United are found to be the most hated club in the Premier League, according to a survey conducted by the Metro. In the survey, football fans were asked which current top flight team they hated the most, and Manchester United came out on top as the most disliked team. Some of the other teams up there are Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City.

Manchester United’s success in the Premier League could be the main reason fans of other teams all over England hate them, as people obviously hate to watch their home team lose. Chelsea’s playing style, on the other hand can be the reason for why they make it second on the list, as Mourinho’s “park the bus” is one of the most frustrating tactics to play against.

Premier League’s new boys Bournemouth are among the least hated teams followed only by Southampton. Both these teams have the underdog air about them which is why they have so few haters.

The fans were also asked which team they loved the most, Southampton came out on top of that particular list. Bournemouth, Swansea, Arsenal and Everton were the teams behind the Saints on the list of most loved teams.

Basis of survey: The fans of each team in the Premier League were given equal weightage while tabulating the results. The number of people who voted were not a factor in making the decision.
