Mario Balotelli wants the Queen to kiss him if Italy beat Costa Rica

Italy striker Mario Balotelli has claimed he wants a kiss on his cheek from the Queen of England if Italy beat Costa Rica and propel England’s chances to qualify to the next round in the World Cup 2014 in Brazil.

The AC Milan striker scored the winner for the Azzurri to beat England 2-1 and England have suffered a similar fate in the hands of one more mercurial player of this generation Luiz Suarez, who produced a sensational display coming back from injury to hand England their second 2-1 defeat in less than a week.

England desperately need the Italians to beat both Costa Rica and Uruguay for them to have any chance for qualification and assuming England beat Costa Rica comfortably in their final group game on Friday.

Mario Balotelli renowned for his on/off the field histrionics and quite an in(famous) figure in the British media in his three year stay in England is in prime position to help England pull off a miracle. No team in World Cup history has made it to the 2nd round having lost both their opening two games.

The 23-year old ‘Super Mario’ took to twitter after the England game to declare his incredulous proposition to the Queen of England.

Though he was quick to point out that his fiancée Fanny Neguesha would be angered if the kiss was anywhere but ‘on the cheek’.

The Queen will surely hope Italy beat Costa Rica so Uruguay and England have one more go at qualification but it appears it is a bit too much to ask for both England and the ’Why always me?’ striker.
