Mesut Ozil says Arsenal need to bring in more players in the summer

Arsenal superstar, Mesut Ozil, says the club needs to bring in players in the summer for them to challenge for the top titles next season while insisting that his side haven't given up on the Premier League title this season yet.

The German has had an incredible season for the Gunners providing a league-high 18 assists while also contributing this share of goals against the likes of Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and more.

Yet he says Arsenal need to bring in players especially given the arrival of Pep Guardiola to rivals Manchester City in the summer who he sees as a threat to Arsenal's chances.

"We know that it will not be easy and that we need reinforcements if we want next season to be on top here again," he said.

"It is again interesting to see who invests in who and how much the clubs do during the summer break.

"In addition, great coaches are coming into the league. I am thinking primarily of Pep Guardiola. Wherever he has been, he had success. He is a coach, keen on playing and his teams are feared," he added.

"He will be imprinting his football in England, and people will be surprised."

Speaking on Arsenal's title chances, Ozil said it isn't impossible but a bit of luck will help the Gunners in winning it.

"I do not think it impossible," he said.

"Although there are only a few games left, Leicester have a run against some of the big teams to come.

"We ourselves must in any case not allow any more slip-ups. The hope of the title is still there -- we have the players for the title."

With the North Londoners out of the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League as well, all their focus shifts to the Premier League. Their first game after the international break is hosting Watford at home. Fellow North Londoners Watford train just a meters from Arsenal's Colney but are well behind the Gunners in the points table with many touted them for possible relegation.

Another London derby follows with Arsenal travelling to take on West Ham on 9th April.
