Moyes given £50m after Manchester United’s worst Premier League start

Manchester United v West Bromwich Albion - Premier League

David Moyes

Manchester United have begun their Premier League title in the worst possible manner. They are currently placed 12th in the league table with 7 points from 6 games. New United manager, David Moyes, has been under immense pressure for the poor displays of the club.

The club officials although think otherwise. They were in full support for the new manager and would give him £50 million to spend in the winter transfer window. Moyes would consider a potential £50 million move for Everton’s left-back Leighton Baines and Athletic Bilbao’s midfielder Ander Herrera.

Championsleague.ca reports any move for Athletic Bilbao’s midfielder Ander Herrera would require Manchester United to meet the €36 million release clause after the La Liga side refused a £25.6 million bid in the summer.

Earlier this summer, Manchester United had a £15 million bid for Baines rejected by Everton, and now it looks that it may take an offer of £20 million plus to sign the English defender. Baines has been in fine form this season, as Everton have moved to the top-four after six matches.

Earlier, Moyes had mentioned that it would be difficult for Manchester United to win the Champions League with the current set of players in his squad.
