Nepal announces Nehru Cup squad

Nepal coach Krishna Thapa has named a 21-member squad for the upcoming 2012 Nehru Cup in Delhi.

Goalkeeper Bikesh Kuthu and midfielder Rupesh KC earned their first call-ups to the Nepal team, while Sujal Shrestha, Jagjeet Shrestha and Anil Ojha are back in the team after missing a few matches.

Thapa was expected to make the announcement earlier in the week, but the coach was “not satisfied with the team formation” and opted to wait a few more days.

The 2012 Nehru Cup will kick-off on August 22 with host India taking on Syria at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi.
