Tennis star Carlos Alcaraz has expressed optimism that Real Madrid's Trent Alexander-Arnold is going to be the best right-back in the world. He also revealed that he has enormous regard for the Real Madrid new signing.

In an interview via BBC Sport, the seven-time ATP 1000 winner spoke about Alexander-Arnold. He said (via Madrid Xtra on X):

“It’s great having Trent at Real Madrid. Huge respect to him. I’m pretty sure he’s going to be the BEST RB in the world.”

The persistent fitness concern of Dani Carvajal is one of the factors that pushed Madrid to sign Alexander-Arnold. The Spaniard is recovering from an ACL injury and is 33 now. Meanwhile, the English star has been one of the most impressive present-day right-backs in the football world.

As a full-back, Alexander-Arnold's overlapping contributes to the attack in terms of creativity and deliveries into the opposition's box. His pace also helps him to return to the defense in a flash, which makes him useful both in attack and defense.

Under Xabi Alonso's reign as Madrid's manager, Alexander-Arnold could play a pivotal role. This is based on the idea that Alonso is a tactician whose set-up gives license to the full-backs to advance.

Thus, as a player with a decent burst of creativity, Alexander-Arnold’s goal contribution numbers could witness a rise next season. In Liverpool colors, Alexander-Arnold delivered 92 assists and 23 goals in 354 games.

Los Blancos will face their first test under Alonso's stewardship in the Club World Cup. They will take on Al-Hilal in their opening game of the tournament on Wednesday, June 18.
