Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior or simply known to everyone as Neymar Jr, is someone who’s feats have carried his name all across the globe. Brazil’s golden boy, he has proudly represented his country many times and plies his trade with the Spanish football giants, FC Barcelona and he usually plays as a striker or a winger.. He was born on 5th February 1992, in Mogi das Cruzes, Sao Paulo, to Neymar da Silva, Sr. and Nadine Santos. He got his name from his father, who was also a footballer in his time. Later on, once his son's talents began to grow, he became Neymar’s advisor.

Neymar is currently one of the best players in the world, and at such a young age, is already considered to be in the league of Messi and Ronaldo. After making his move to Barcelona from Santos and put together with a world class squad, Neymar has only gotten better and risen higher. An apt example would be his exploits for his country during the World Cup of 2014, until his unfortunate injury. Personal Life

Besides his love for football, Neymar’s heart got filled by family when he became a father on August 24th 2011, when his former girlfriend Carolina Nogueira Dantas gave birth to their son: David Lucca da Silva Santos. The little boy was born in hospital São Luiz in São Paulo, weighing 2.81 kg and Neymar didn’t lose the unique chance to follow the labor of his first child very closely. After the birth, Neymar was quoted as saying "I cried when I learned that I would be his father. At first, I felt fear. Then joy. It is a new responsibility and I am now enjoying it." He later described the birth of his baby boy as "2.8 kilograms of pure happiness". Initially, there wasn’t much information regarding who the child’s mother was, until Neymar himself revealed her identity as being Carolina Nogueira Dantas. She was born on October 21 of 1993, which means she’s roughly 1 year and a half younger than her former boyfriend Neymar.

Nowadays and since Neymar and Carolina Dantas are not dating anymore and never got to be married, the little David Lucca splits part of his time with his mother and the other part with his father. Neymar is a doting father and loves his son immensely. Since the birth of his son, the boy has often been seen on training grounds, the bleachers, and on Neymar’s Instagram. The Barcelona star even has a tattoo of his son’s name, David Lucca.

Style of play

If he had to be described in one word it would be lethal. If more words were allowed, then fast, clever and skillful would be added. Neymar is usually played as a winger or striker for both club and country, but he can play well in any attacking position. Neymar is particularly dangerous during the counter, with fast runs and terrific dribbling to go through the remaining defenders.
