Liverpool head to Carrow Road this weekend hoping to make one more big step towards lifting their 19th league trophy, a first in 24 years.

The Reds are two points clear of Chelsea and six of Manchester City with just four games remaining so their 11th win in a row this weekend will see them take an enormous step towards lifting their first Premier League trophy and their first league title for 24 years.

With Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson both out – one injured, the other suspended – Brendan Rodgers will need to shift his side around a little, possibly into a new formation, to try and get another win on the board.

This is the first of four huge matches for Norwich City. Their remaining four fixtures are against Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal. As they are hovering just above the relegation zone, they’ll need something big to avoid the drop, starting here.

Team News

Norwich City

The Canaries have no new injury worries ahead of this match as Elliott Bennett is still nursing a knee injury. He could be back next weekend but the Liverpool is too soon.

Liverpool

The only concerns that Rodgers has to deal with are how to replace Henderson and Sturridge. With Joe Allen, Lucas Leiva, Iago Aspas and Victor Moses in reserve, Rodgers has two choices per replacement. Due to his trust in Moses and Aspas being let down, he will probably start with both Lucas and Allen and change the system around. His only other injury worry is that Jose Enrique is still out but he has at least shown fans that he is recuperating.

Predicted Line-Ups

Norwich

They are likely to go with the same side that lost 1-0 to Fulham last time out, a game in which they were severely unfortunate to lose.

Norwich City line up

Norwich 4-5-1: Ruddy; Martin, Turner, Whittaker, Olsson; Snodgrass, Howson, Johnson, Redmond, Fer; van Wolfswinkel.

Liverpool

Brendan Rodgers will probably revert back to a 4-3-3 formation from his most recent 4-4-2 diamond in midfield. Due to Henderson’s suspension for his red card against Manchester City and Sturridge’s hamstring problem, Lucas and Allen are likely to come into midfield next to Steven Gerrard.

Liverpool line up

Liverpool 4-3-3: Mignolet; Johnson, Skrtel, Sakho, Flanagan; Gerrard, Allen, Lucas; Sterling, Coutinho, Suarez.

Recent Form

Norwich Liverpool recent form

Norwich Liverpool recent form

Norwich City – They’ve struggled in recent weeks, losing four of their last five games, including three in a row. They haven’t scored in either of the last three games either which doesn’t make for good reading ahead of Liverpool’s trip. Looking even further into we can see that the Canaries have scored just four goals in their last five matches.

Liverpool – The Reds are the form side in Europe right now with 10 straight victories in the league. Their last win was a huge title battle with Manchester City, where they scored their 91st, 92nd and 93rd goal of the league season. Liverpool have been sensational in recent weeks and could pile more misery on Norwich on Sunday if they carry on their form.

Players to Watch

Norwich - Robert Snodgrass

He’s their most threatening player in the final third and created 61 chances – the most in the squad. Gary Hooper has created the second highest amount of chances at the club with 33 so it shows how important Snodgrass is when Norwich attack. The Scottish international has also scored five goals to lead the club’s scoring charts alongside Hooper.

Robert Snodgrass created chances

He has only completed 29 take-ons but he can be a threat, allowing Norwich to attack from set-pieces as he has been fouled a total of 70 times this season.

Liverpool - Luis Suarez

The Uruguayan is the scourge of Norwich City and has scored three of his six Liverpool hat-tricks against the Canaries, including one earlier in the season.

He scored four in that game and three of them are contenders for Goal of the Season. His first was a 45-yard volley; his second a neat finish from close range; his third was the best, controlling a bouncing ball towards goal, flicking it over Leroy Fer and burying it in the far corner on the half-volley as he lost balance. His fourth was a wonderful, curling free kick from all of 30 yards. He was superb.

Prediction

I think Liverpool will win this one and take a huge step towards Premier League glory. They are too hot to handle right now and Norwich are in dire form and struggling. Suarez loves playing against Norwich and it seems they hate coming up against him. It almost seems an inevitability that he will score when playing against the Canaries, especially at Carrow Road where he’s scored two hat-tricks.
